Keurig Coffee Makers Vs. Gevalia Coffee Makers

Posted by:

Today, in the vs. Series, we’ll take a look at the Gevalia series of Coffee Makers, compared to the Keurig One Cup Coffee Makers.

Keurig is a company of coffee makers and a subsidiary of Green Mountain Coffee. Keurig has six different main models that run the gamut in terms of price range and features. The good news is that even the cheapest models, the Keurig Mini and Keurig Elite, coming in at around $60 or $70 in some online and store retailers, produce the same great coffee in the same quick time as the more expensive models, such as the Platinum and the Keurig Breville models. The more expensive models have more features and more customization but all models are known for their ease of use, speed in making coffee and easy cleaning ability. The differences lie in style, design and the size of the water reservoir, as well as intended use. For example, Keurig has a model designed specifically as an office coffee maker that is built to be rugged and withstand a constant bombardment of uses, called the OfficePro.

Gevalia began North American sales, via mail-order delivery service, in 1983. Gevalia is perhaps most well known for its introductory offer of a free coffeemaker and other coffee-related incentives. These offers were seen in magazine advertisements, direct mailings, and television commercials, but were later overtaken by online advertising. In Northern Europe, Gevalia is a major supermarket brand. Gevalia is marketed in the U.S. as an expensive, premium brand. Gevalia is the primary coffee brand for the Tassimo coffee maker in the United States, a machine developed by Kraft Foods.

Toastess Silhouette Personal Coffeemaker

This Gevelia coffee maker is one of the favorites. It brews one cup at a time which means that there will be less coffee wasted, and it pours the brew directly into the thermal mug where it stays hot and fresh tasting for hours. The coffee maker can also be used to heat water for tea and soup, and comes with the stainless steel insulated travel mug included.

Cucina Pro Double Coffee Brew Station

If you are looking for a larger sized Gevelia coffee maker then you may want to consider the Cucina Pro Double Coffee Brew Station. With this coffee maker you can brew your two favorites at the same time, whether that means one pot of regular and one of decaf or just two pots of different flavored coffee.

A few of the favorable features of this coffee maker include a programmable clock timer, individual brew controls, permanent cone filter, and two 12-cup glass carafes.

Fresh Brew Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe Coffeemaker

Another of the most popular Gevelia coffee maker models is the Fresh Brew Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe Coffeemaker. It brews up to 10 cups at a time, keeps the coffee hot for hours, and features a timer clock with preset controls.

This coffee maker also features a stainless filter basket for easy cleaning, and a variety of accessories that you can purchase to go with it.

Capresso 10-Cup Thermal Coffee Maker

The last Gevelia coffee maker to be discussed here is the Capresso 10-Cup Thermal Coffee Maker. This machine is ultra quiet and offers modern brewing technology. It features a stainless steel lined heating system, electronic charcoal water filter with change indicator, drip-stop feature, automatic shut off, and permanent goldtone filter.

Regardless of which particular coffee maker you choose to go with, the important thing is that you are choosing a reliable, trustworthy name like Gevelia or Keurig. This way you know you will be getting a high quality coffee maker and really getting the most for your money.
